When the first edition was running out, the alarm sounded at the Jickiel® headquarters for the Perique, which a small French company had made to measure for us 2 years ago, and without which we would not have been able to make a second edition. So we ordered more Perique from Louisiana in the US and shipped it straight to the same lab in France, who pardoned us. A material bliss. Which, yet another record, we are the first in the world to use in perfumery. It is a tobacco (a particular cultivar selected among the Burley varieties) fermented, under anaerobic conditions, in wooden barrels. The final product develops new aspects, woody and piquant/spicy, with a slight fruity undertone*.
Inserted in an amber composition, the absolute of Perique gives excellent results. The truffle of pipe tobaccos (the truffle of pipe tobaccos), not so much to add...
So Ambre Perique is available again, in a limited edition.

It is a lively, sophisticated and extremely refined composition built on the theme of golden ambergris from the end of aging, and on the unique and unrepeatable note of Perique tobacco from Louisiana.

*Just think that following chemical analyzes and GCMS tests, among the other interesting aromatic molecules present in Perique, the presence of peach aldehyde, c 14 (gamma-undecalactone) emerged as a result of the particular fermentation process.
